How House'it Works
Everything you need to manage properties, communicate with residents, and keep things running in one place.
Getting Started
1
Register your manager account
Sign up with the registration code provided by HouseIt to create your manager account.
Your registration code is sent to you by HouseIt when you sign up for a plan. This ensures only authorised managers can create accounts.
Once registered, you'll land on the Manager Dashboard where you can see ticket stats, residents by property, and upcoming events at a glance.

2
Set up your properties and rooms
Add buildings, rooms, and configure your email settings and contractor list.
Go to Property Details to create buildings and define room numbers. Then head to Settings to:
- Configure your email (SMTP) so the system can send notifications
- Add your contractors with trades, contact info, and rates
- Set up macros (quick reply templates) for common responses
- Add chatbot Q&A entries so residents can self-serve
3
Invite your residents
Send secure invite links so residents can create their own accounts.
From Property Details, click Invite Resident, enter their email and room assignment. They'll receive an email with a secure link to register.
You can also bulk import residents via CSV in Settings > Data Import. It helps when you're onboarding a full building at once.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is my data protected? ▼
All data is stored securely with role-based access control. Residents can only see their own tickets, parcels, and announcements. Managers see data relevant to their properties. Passwords are hashed and all communication uses encrypted connections.
What happens when I submit a ticket? ▼
The AI automatically categorises your ticket (maintenance, billing, emergency, etc.) and assigns a priority level. Your property manager is notified immediately. You'll receive email updates as the ticket progresses through to resolution.
Can I use this on my phone? ▼
Yes. House'it works on phones, tablets, and desktops in a normal web browser. No app download required.
How does the AI learn and improve? ▼
When tickets are resolved, managers can submit them for AI training. The system learns from real resolved tickets to improve its categorisation accuracy over time. Managers can also correct the AI's predictions, and the corrected labels are what the model learns from.
What if the chatbot can't answer my question? ▼
The chatbot will offer to create a maintenance ticket for you. Your request then goes directly to your property manager with all the details you provided.
